All marinas and stores will open 8 AM-8 PM for all Federal Holidays. If that holiday falls on a Monday, we will be closed the following Tuesday.
Marina Hours
Hours change with the season
Marina hours are not the same in July as they are in January, and they are not identical across the four marinas. A lake marina is busy from spring through autumn and much quieter through winter, and the hours follow the boating season. The hours for the current season at all four marinas are listed above. Weather and lake conditions can still change a day’s plans, so if you are making a special trip, call the marina before you set off.
Roughly what to expect
As a general guide, all four marinas keep their longest hours from Memorial Day weekend to the end of August, with late openings on Fridays and the longest days at weekends. Through the summer they are closed on Mondays, apart from federal holidays. Hours shorten through spring and autumn, and each marina closes for the winter: the two Tennessee marinas from December 1st, and the two Kentucky marinas from October 16th.
The fuel dock and store hours are usually the ones that matter most to a visitor, and those are the ones most likely to change with the season and the weather. A call is always worth it.

Booking a rental at Barren River State Dock
If you are planning a boat rental at the state dock, hours matter less than availability. Summer weekends book out ahead of time, so the call to make is about securing the boat, not just checking when the dock opens. Have your dates ready.
